Landau Public Relations Merges into The Adcom Group of Companies as Fourth Operating Division
Collaboration Continues the Growth of the Modern Communications Firm
(Cleveland, Ohio — February 14, 2012) The Adcom Group, one of the largest forward-thinking marketing communications firms in Ohio, today announced the integration of Landau Public Relations (LandauPR), one of the most respected public relations companies in the region, as a fourth operating division of the firm. The addition of Landau's public relations practice expands upon The Adcom Group's current public relations and social influence offering, and further emphasizes the organization's progression to achieve a modern model for a communications firm that is a true convergence of digital technology, public relations and social media.
The Adcom Group is a fully integrated marketing services company with four operating divisions: Adcom, a strategic marketing communications company; Optiem, an online marketing and digital media company; Uppercut Motion + Sound, a video content and broadcast production company; and now LandauPR. Howard Landau will continue to operate the company as a division of Adcom.
"We've worked with LandauPR for many years, and are proud and excited to bring this pool of talent into our growing organization," said Joe Kubic, co-founder and CEO of The Adcom Group. "Over the years, we've worked to build the modern communications model by integrating creative solutions across all forms of media. We view this partnership as a seamless transition, and through collaboration we will be able to provide more robust communications strategies and campaigns to help clients achieve their marketing goals in all forms of media."
LandauPR will continue to operate out of its offices in the Warehouse District in downtown Cleveland right across the street from The Adcom Group.
Howard Landau founded the firm that now bears his name 28 years ago as a division of Wyse Advertising. He spun-off the company in 1999 as a stand-alone public relations / communications firm.
"I've seen the pendulum swing between full-service agencies and specialty firms," Landau said. "I am convinced that the future belongs to fully integrated, collaborative communications companies that can provide both strategic counseling and creative execution across all levels of corporate communications and brand support. By coming together with The Adcom Group, we will be able to provide enhanced and expanded services to our clients."
Together, the two companies have an array of clients that span the consumer, business-to-business, non-profit and industrial market spaces. The Adcom Group's roster includes Cliffs Natural Resources, Sherwin-Williams, KeyBank, RIDGID Tool, Cleveland Clinic and the Cleveland Browns; LandauPR works with Daimler Trucks North America, MeadWestvaco Corporation, Giant Eagle Supermarkets and Kichler Lighting.
Both companies are extremely active in the local community, with staff serving on the boards of many leading non-profit organizations and the agencies providing pro-bono work for a variety of charitable causes. "All those activities will continue," Kubic said. "We both pride ourselves on the community service work we do, which is one more reason why this partnership fits."
LandauPR has a staff complement of 17 while The Adcom Group has more than 120 employees between its three existing divisions. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
